Why do I need this medicine?
Fusidic Acid + Hydrocortisone is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin with inflammation, redness and itching.
How do I use this medicine?
Apply exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

If you have been given a cream, follow these steps:
  1. Wash the affected area and let it dry before applying the medicine.
  2. Apply a thin layer in the affected area. Rub it gently on the skin until it disappears.
  3. Do not cover, wrap or bandage the area being treated.
  4. Wash your hands after each application.
Avoid contact of this medicine with your eyes or mouth. Rinse immediately if the medicine accidentally gets into your eyes or mouth. Alert your doctor if you start to have any problems with your eyesight.

Fusidic Acid+Hydrocortisone must be used regularly and within the given medication timeframe for it to be effective. Continue using this medicine even when you feel better. Do not stop using it unless instructed by the doctor.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.

If you often forget to use your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
When should I not use this medicine?
Alert your doctor if you have the following conditions:
  • other skin infections caused by bacteria, virus or fungi
  • tuberculosis of the skin
as this medicine may not be suitable for you.
What should I take note of while using this medicine?
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not apply on large areas of your skin.

Inform your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens.
What side effects could I experience?
Fusidic Acid+Hydrocortisone may cause any of the following side effects: skin irritation such as burning or itching sensation, redness, thinning of the skin and changes in skin tone.

If you develop rashes, breathlessness, swollen mouth or eyes, stop using the medicine and inform your doctor quickly. These could be signs of an allergic reaction.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I use this with other medicines?
Inform your doctor if you are using any other creams, ointments or other medicines on the affected area.

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
